1. Who is Hoi An Free Tour

Hoi An Free Tour is run by local university student community who offer free bicycle tour to unexplored countryside in Hoi An such as Kim Bong Village, Tra Que Vegetable Village and Cam Thanh Water Coconut Palm Village. The only benefit for volunteer students is that they get a chance to practice their English language skills and promote cultural exchange. This is two way learning experience for both visitors and hosts!

2. What is the cost for a half bike tour to villages

It’s FREE except bike rental, ferry or entrance fee.

3. Why it FREE?

These bike tours are run by local university student community, not professional tour guide. We want to show travellers from all over the world have a deep insight into not only beautiful countryside landscape but also our culture, tradition custom. We also want to improve our English language skills which are valuable asset for our future careers

4. Could I book a tour out of Hoi An with Hoi An Free Tour?

No trip out of Hoi An will be provided at present. We hope we will do it in the near future when our community develops more.

6. What is the frequent schedule of a typical tour?

Bike tours around Hoi An usually start at 8.30 AM and finish 12.00 PM
There are several half day options for you to choose from. Most tours start around 8.30 AM and finish around 12.30PM.

Option 1: Kim Bong Bicycle Tour. Visit Kim Bong Carpentry village, making boat’s workshop, Cam Kim market. Visit Duy Vinh sleeping mat village, rice paper factory, tropical fruit garden and rice field.

Option 2: Cam Thanh Water Coconut Palm Village. Visit Cam Thanh water palm tree, fishing village, coconut workshop and local market.

Option 3: Tra Que Vegetable Village. Visit Co Co river and Tra Que village.

7. Are there other languages available in Hoi An Free Tour

Some of our volunteers can speak French, Holland. However, if you want to do this bike tour in other languages, you need to book 2 weeks in advance.

8. What should I bring?

– Small changes to support local community (if needed).
